President’s Message:

Our October Meeting was well attended by many members and quite a few dahlia blooms were presented for our October Best Bloom contest.  Winners were Dottie and Dave Crockett in both of the size classes.  Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all who participated.

At this November Meeting we will continue our planning for our 50th. Anniversary Show and would like input from our members to help with this.  Our Annual Election of Officers will also take place.   I hope to see many of you at the November Meeting.

Display Garden News:

The Display Garden is nearing the end of the season.  This weekend the plants will be cut down and stakes removed.  Over the next several weeks I will be digging and dividing the roots to sell at the 2008 April Root Auction (see date below).

Thanks go out to all our members and friends that helped maintain the garden through the growing season.  Special recognition goes to Jo-Ann Pronovost and Al Mitlehner for their consistent participation.

If you are able to help with the digging, please contact me.
