Plans for our December Holiday Party

President’s Message:

Our October Meeting was well attended by many members and quite a few dahlia blooms were presented for our October Best Bloom contest. Winners were Dottie and Dave Crockett in both of the size classes with Hamari Accord, large, and Pink Suffusion, small. Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all who participated.

The Display Garden was hit by frost on October 15th. and cut down on October 26th. Many park visitors stopped by to say how much they enjoyed watching the plants grow and the dahlia blooms. The garden came into a spectacular display in the latter weeks of the season and it was nice to hear those comments. All the hard work really does not go unnoticed. The roots will be dug soon. Thanks again to Jesse Peterson, Display Garden Coordinator and all those who helped out with the garden this year.

I hope to see many of you at the November Meeting.
