President's Message…

It was a beautiful and picturesque location for our July Picnic at the home of Jonathan and Barbara Wooten in Southport, CT.  Our hosts deserve a big round of applause for such a grand setting.  The gardens were all spectacular, especially the dahlia gardens - 300 plants in all!  Thanks again to Barbara and her friend Louise for such a great buffet and their valuable time in helping with our picnic…What a great day!

The August meeting will go over last minute show preparations.  Our show date is August 28th at Elizabeth Park's Pond House.  Volunteers will be needed and appreciated to help set up on Friday, August 27th.  If you can help please give me a call or try to attend this Saturday's meeting.

For new members there will also be a demonstration on how to condition blooms properly and also transporting ideas to safely get your prize blooms to the show.  For members attending the meeting - please bring some blooms and also your ideas on conditioning and transporting your flowers.

Please try to attend this informative meeting!
