Peony Form Description
We thank Barbara and
Jon Wooten for again hosting our July Picnic on a most beautiful day. The tours that they gave of their gardens
showed us their spectacular display of early dahlia blooms as well as an
impressive display of perennials in their
Again we have had
more than ample rain this season, possibly too much for some of you.
This is a
dramatically different season from last year’s one of drought and hopefully it
will yield an ample number of blooms for our early show. It was difficult to keep up with the spraying

and now we have the heat to force us to do more watering.
The show is our
biggest event of the year and volunteers are needed for many different jobs so
please volunteer for at least one of them.
Members are needed for set-up on Friday, clerking on Saturday, and especially for the breakdown on
Saturday night.
